So I started an encaustic transfer project that actually turned out the way I wanted it to, for once. It's not finished though, but here are some photos of it in progress.
I'm thinking of adding some wire to it. The photo is of my friend Brendan.
The piece is entitled "Where Is My Mind?" This concept basically came from the struggles I've had with mental illnesses and the feeling of sometimes literally losing my mind. I know a lot of people can relate to this, so I created this piece to portray that sometimes our minds are just a mess, a mass of confusion and utter chaos. The colors represent the different moods we all deal with, and how they sometimes blend together and we feel them all at once.
